This is the first funeral I have arranged, and was a difficult time for me as another dear family member (who would have been arranging this) was very ill. Tara was wonderful, warm, and guided me through everything. The arrangements were made so simple and completely transparent.
The team at Abacus take pride in their conduct and appearance, and every element of the day was carried out in very dignified and caring manner. The service was beautiful.
The flower recommendations were the best I've ever seen. I cannot recommend Abacus enough, it took all of the worry about arrangements away.

Organising the funeral for my life long best friend Sharon who sadly died at only 54 years was never going to be easy but having been recommended to using Abacus I cannot praise Tara enough , Tara was so kind and compassionate following both my own and Sharon's family's requests to the letter , thinking of everyone's feelings and differance of opinion. I must also mention that the funeral costs were very reasonable and this was not obvious in the excellant service and value for money we recieved . I should also mention the celebrant Kathryn Sansom that Tara recommended , the pair were a perfect team and organised the perfect send off . We asked Abacus to conduct the funeral of my late mother in law , who was 90, today. Tara at Abacus was professional, helpful and considerate to what we wanted and ensured it went exactly as it should. I am well versed, unfortunately, with funerals as my entire family and extended family have been buried by Cribbs, big family concern in the East End of London, over the last 50 years. I can honestly say I highly recommend Abacus. Ok today’s was much smaller than any Cribbs had done for us, but today was absolutely spot on and fantastic value which can be a concern for some. Thank you Tara, thank you Abacus. It was lovely.
This is the second time in only 10 months I have felt the need to say a heart felt THANK YOU to Tara and her team in Gravesend. Through the most difficult of times I relied on Tara, finding her to be efficient, professional and caringly supportive, while seeing me through all the decisions and ending up with a funeral for my Uncle that was everything I wanted it to be. I throughly recommend their service.
