After doing some research into independent funeral directors in my local area i found Rowland's. I went in to make some general enquirers for my mother's funeral. The staff were very helpful and welcoming, They gave me all the information I needed. The facilities were excellent, we have a big family so it was difficult for us all to get to the funeral home to see mum in the chapel, Rowland's offered us a key for the chapel of rest so we could come down whenever we wanted, including weekends and evenings, which was great!. Not to mention the beautiful flowers in the courtyard, Mum really loved her flowers. We couldn't thank them enough for the actual funeral itself. Nothing was too much trouble and there was a great deal of professionalization and care from the moment we walked through that door, which made a hard time that bit easier. Would defiantly recommend.

Kindness, support & expertise

With hearts made heavy by loss we found it difficult to know which way to turn after the sudden death of a dearly loved family member. However, once we had entered the door of Rowlands Funeral Directors we received kindness, expertise and the professional guidance we were so in need of. We owe them a great debt of gratitude for their constant support and attention to detail which enabled us to make all the necessary arrangements and to plan a beautiful and appropriate celebration completely in keeping with our wishes.

5 Star Ego

I often walk Past this particular funeral directors and cant help but notice the big black sign on there wall giving them selves what looks like a five star rating!!.. After making some phone calls to different funeral authorities to find out if indeed they give a funeral home this award they clearly don't. Making a phone call to this funeral directors and making my point known they were unable to give a plausible comment. The reason I question this is after a friend just recently used them for a funeral she was not happy with certain aspects of the funeral itself but was to polite to make a point. In my opinion a company giving themselves a 5 star rating smells of egotistical nonsense (a look at us company) without having the professionalism to back it up as my friend can clarify. There is a much better funeral director just around the corner by the way!..
